After spending almost every Thursday since the end of February, 2018 looking at covered bridges in Parke and Putnam Counties in Indiana, it's time for a new county.

Ripley County is in southeast Indiana.  Its northeast corner is crossed by Interstate 74 as it dashes from Indianapolis to Cincinnati.

It carries vehicles across Laughrey Creek on a single lane after being rehabilitated in 2005.  Thomas Hardman built the sturdy structure in 1885.

The bridge is just east of tiny Versailles, Indiana.

By the way, they pronounce it ver-sails not like that town in France with the same name but said Ver-sigh.
Busching is built with a Covered
Howe through Truss frame. (dwm)

The builder, Thomas Hardman, is credited with nine covered bridges.  The Busching and next week's featured bridge Holtan are the only two still standing.
