Sky Gazing

The sky over Verona. 5/21/2021 dwm
If we're looking at our phones all the time, it is very unlikely we are looking up at the sky.

This is National "Look up at the sky" Day, which was started by a news reporter in Boston who quit his job after looking at the sky, he said, for the first time.

He created For Spacious Skies, a not-for-profit focused on getting children and adults to live in the moment rather than miss the beauty around us.

Two interesting notes about the sky:
1. A cloud can weigh 1.1 million pounds
2. A star's color depends on it's temperature

A blue sky can be interesting, especially around sunrise and sunset. Clouds add character to the atmosphere and the shadows they create add depth and intrigue.

Clouds can spark imagination, too. If you're like me, you probably see all kinds of interesting things when you look at various cloud formations.

If you know a few things about meteorology, the sky may tell you if rain is coming or if a storm is brewing on the horizon. If it doesn't tell you those things, make sure to seek shelter when the sirens go off!
