Saturday was moving day for my wife as she opens an office for her doula business, Bump2BabyDoula Service. She's excited to have a space of her own. It took three trips from home to deliver a comfortable chair, table, and shelving unit.
The week before I took my new laptop to where I bought it to see why I was having issues running a backup. After a check, I was told it would be fine, I just needed to let it run. So, I did. The first time through it took more than two hours. This week it finished in 15 minutes.

It was written by a long-time Wisconsin sports writer, who became Packer Historian after retiring from the beat. Cliff Christl is meticulous in his research, hunting down the true story and dis-proving some of the legends that surround the Packers.
The story began before the team had its first official year in 1919. Prior to that, towns all over the Midwest organized teams to play neighboring communities.
One of the most interesting lines Christl wrote, after knocking down one myth after another about the Packer's origin story is, "Thus, by the time it became important enough to write about, it seems nobody could remember the particulars of much of the Packers' inception and their early years."
The book is interesting, but not exactly a page-turner. So far, I've read 116 pages in the first of four books, that covered 1919 and 1920 to 1929.
Wednesday morning I returned to the dentist to have the permanent crown put on the second tooth from the back. When the dental assistant was checking it out, she found it was a bit tight, so the dentist had to make some adjustments and after working on it awhile, it was firmly in place. It should be good for a long time.
There was another bit of good news from the dentist, it turned out the bill was nearly $30 less than what I paid, so a refund check is in the mail.

Thursday was a busy day as I tried to get a lot done on several projects. One of the items on my calendar I expected to a short time, took a lot longer.
As our offices moved, we had documents we are required to save for seven years. There were four years of documents to re-pack into secure boxes, then labeling the boxes in case we needed to retrieve them from storage.
I'm not sure what the storage place looks like; in my head I picture the scene at the end of the movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark, when you see one man pushing a flat bed cart between two large shelves. As the camera pulls back from the scene, you see the shelves stretching as far as the eye can see.
Friday morning we went to the Koffee Kup Kafe in Stoughton. They may have the best pancake I've enjoyed in south Wisconsin. It's the size of the plate, fluffy and delicious! Four slices of crisp bacon were the perfect side.
After breakfast, I helped my wife get a few things settled in her office, then came home for a relaxing afternoon. We stumbled across Father in the Bride on television and had to finish it. It's been brought to my attention over the years that I may resemble, to some extent, the father as portrayed by Steve Martin. I'll have to admit, I see it.
Here's hoping you don't resemble an movie or TV character that is anything less than a super hero; and thanks for reading!
