A Broken Not Fully Busted Bracket

My bracket after 2 Rounds. 3/23/2026 dwm

My bracket didn't break when the first game of the first round finished. Not at all, it was the fourth, of sixteen games, the broke my bracket when High Point University from North Carolina, a 12-seed, beat the 5-seed Wisconsin Badgers by a point.

Since I had the Badgers reaching the Elite Eight, that one game left three more holes in the bracket. It was the worst pick on my sheet. Only my pick of Vanderbilt beating Nebraska and Florida was close for ineptitude.

The good news is my last four teams standing when the tournament drives into Indianapolis are still alive.

Iowa State and Purdue are who I have in one National Semi-Final with Houston and Duke in the second.

The Cyclones from Iowa State lost a couple players to injury, including one of their best players in the first game of the tournament.

The first weekend had a lot of good games - Iowa beating Florida and Nebraska outlasting Vanderbilt were two of the best. I hope there are few more games like them in the next two rounds.
