The Bucky Book

The 2025-w6 Bucky Book. dwm
If you don't have a Bucky Book where you live, you probably have something like it.

While we lived in Indianapolis there was a similar book, around 500 pages filled with coupons for all kinds of local businesses. A charity sells the books for a fixed price; we just received ours after paying $35.00, and the charity keeps a portion of the price.

Some coupons are good through January 2026 while others are good until the end of next September.

There are all kinds of merchants - grocery, entertainment, health and beauty, shopping, home improvement, golf, automotive, services, food and pizza, dining, and special sections for places.

Ardent fans of books like these go through the book looking for their most valuable coupons - whether it takes them to someplace new or will save money on a visit to a place they patronize regularly.

There are ads for lawyers and home builders. The most unusual discount was for a visit for an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) that uses magnetic and radio waves to photograph your insides.

I saw a coupon for a nearby supper club that offers a discount large enough to make us interested to pay them a visit.

Whether it's a dozen donuts or an ice cream cone, a minimal amount of effort will let you save at least as much as you invested in the book.

If you never get around to using any of the coupons, that's OK, just think of your purchase as providing some help for a worthy not-for-profit in your area!
