It's National Cheeseburger Day according to the good people at Holiday Insights, although if you read down their page of information about the day, they concede it's never been formally announced, yet it lives on.
I'll eat a cheeseburger, I like cheese and I like burgers, it's just that I'd prefer getting the cheese on the side and add to the burger after it's done.
There are some restaurants that only feature cheeseburgers on the menu, if you want a basic burger, you have to order a cheeseburger without cheese!
According to the Holiday Insights people, the cheeseburger was invented 101 years ago in Pasadena, California and was originally called a "cheese hamburger."
You can't get more American than ordering a cheeseburger, and a Coke, ah, no Coke, Pepsi? Yes, a Pepsi. And chips.
