Sunday was relaxing. After church I spent the day watching the Brewers and working on the blog.
Monday it was back to work after a three-day weekend. It took 30-minutes to get caught up with email, replying to some while deleting others. While there weren't any visits scheduled in advance, I was still able to meet with two donors and make progress on two articles.
The Brewers continue to play well - winning three in Washington against the Nationals, and taking care of the Braves in their first two games in Atlanta.
After the second victory over the Braves, Milwaukee was 25 games above .500, more dramatically, the team was 4 games behind the Cubs a month ago and they were 4 games ahead of Chicago going into Wednesday's action. Their next series is at home against the Mets.
Wednesday morning I had a full schedule meeting with a college intern serving a residency while completing the final year of study on the way to getting certified as a nursing home administrator. One email informed me the schedule was torn up and I had time to work on other projects.
Wednesday was also my 13th anniversary with the Oakwood Foundation. It's been a great place to work and I'm blessed to have wonderful co-workers and people who've become friends along the way. The best part is working with residents and seeing the joy they have in giving generously for Oakwood's mission and ministry. I'm looking forward to my 14th.
I used some of my paid-time-off Friday, there wasn't anything special to do, except an appointment to see what it would take to clean up the damages to the right rear passenger door of my car. I haven't decided yet what, if anything, I'll do about it.
Over Thursday and Friday we watched the recently released documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes available on HBOMax. It's a friendly documentary with the artist's cooperation so it's not hard-hitting but it is a fun look at one of my favorite singers. I recommend it.
I hope you have a great week. Thanks for reading.
