It made for a wonderful ride Saturday morning and a comfortable weekend at home with the air conditioner getting a much-needed rest.
Sunday we watched the Celebration of Life the Milwaukee Brewers had for long-time announcer Bob Uecker. It was a wonderful program filled with laughter and tears as fans, players, and all associated with the Brewers joined the Uecker family in a final good-bye while acknowledging he won't be forgotten.
The program and game coverage was supplemented, for the first time as far as I know, with a drone camera. It provided beautiful and interesting visuals of American Family Field and the Greater Milwaukee area. I hope they include that feature in future broadcasts.

Monday afternoon I was close to the Dane County Airport, which is home to the Wisconsin Air National Guard and the 115th Fighter Wing.
You hear the fighter jet first, then look ahead of where the sound is and you may see a dark object cruising through the sky.
All I had was my phone. I framed the part of the sky where the jet was going and hit the digital shutter.
I couldn't tell by looking at the phone if the F-35 was even in the shot. That wouldn't happen until I got home.
At home I downloaded the pictures to my laptop and opened the photo editor I was glad to see the image of a jet. When I zoomed in on that section of the sky, the jet became larger and there were still enough pixels to make a decent shot.
Frankly, I'm surprised they look this good.
A long-time friend from work died this week. We both started at Oakwood around the same time and got to know each other through short conversations over the years. Then two years ago, he was diagnosed with cancer, he did the treatments and was doing better until he wasn't. He died Monday night. He will be missed.
Wednesday a new colleague joining the Foundation. We seemed to be on the same wavelength from the start getting acquainted personally and professionally. It's only part of one day, but I have high hopes for the future.
Big news for the Packers Thursday with the news they traded two first-round picks and their starting nose tackle, Kenny Clark for one of the best defensive players in the NFL, Micah Parsons. Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys couldn't agree on a contract extension and he asked for a trade.
It's unusual for a great player like Parsons to be available and even more unusual for the Green Bay Packers to execute a deal like this; it raises expectations in Titletown, and Packer fans are even more excited for what we all hope ends with us bringing another Lombardi Trophy back to Green Bay.
The Badgers opened their football season Thursday night. It's the first time in years I didn't write a forecast for their season. After missing a bowl game last year for the first time in 23 seasons and with a tough schedule in front of them; it seems like a dream to think they can win 6 games. I'm hoping to see improvement on both sides of the ball and see Wisconsin play competitively for an entire game. Go Badgers!
Wisconsin won its first game over Miami (Ohio), 17 - 0. The defense played well and rose to the occasion. The starting quarterback left with what appeared to be a serious injury but reports the day after indicate Billy Edwards Jr. may have escaped with a knee sprain. I'll take a stab at a belated Bucky Badger forecast tomorrow and do my best in forecasting how the Packers will do later in the week.
Thanks for reading, I hope you have a great week!
