My grandma played solitaire. I remember her sitting at the kitchen table or using a TV tray in the living
room to create the tableau of cards before seeing how long it took to get the cards into four piles.

I learned how to play with a deck of cards but I would be hard-pressed to do it that way now.

It's National Solitaire Day!

Are you old enough and tech-savvy enough that in 1990 you had Microsoft Windows 1990 on an early version of your home computer?

Strangely enough, they didn't include the game to get us addicted to an online card game, they added it so we would get better using our mouse and cursor.

In 2018, Microsoft declared May 22 as Solitaire Day to acknowledge all the millions of folks, me included, who enjoy playing the electronic game for an extended period of time.

There are probably a few people around who play solitaire with cards, but it won't take long before it's just on our devices. All those years of playing haven't made me good at it, I play in 'easy' mode the vast majority of the time. Play on!
