Traffic moved smoothly on our way to and from Titletown. There were no delays and the only stops were required by lights or signs. If you haven't read Tuesday's blog about our experience, you can pull it up here.
Other than church, Sunday was quiet as I prepared to return to work Monday and then watched the Brewers salvage a win against St. Louis after two losses.
Early in the week I had visits and phone calls to place plus a letter to finish and get to the print house. It takes a couple days for the printers to put the pieces together and send a proof to review. If all goes well, there should be a letter ready to mail inside of two weeks.
Tuesday was the second of two donor appreciation receptions, which meant Wednesday was time to get the next set of invitations prepared for two dinners in June.
The Milwaukee Bucks season came to an untimely end Tuesday night. They were down 3 games to 1 when the 5th game got underway. The Bucks put up a fight but lost by a point in overtime. It was a disappointing season.
Giannis Antetekoumpo continues to be a great player, one of the best in the NBA but he needs more help to get another chance for a championship. There is speculation Milwaukee needs to trade Giannis to rebuild but I fail to see the logic of removing one of the two or three best players in the world and expect to be better.
I was a kid when the Bucks traded Kareem Abdul Jabbar, who wanted out of Milwaukee. That's something I haven't heard from Giannis. I'm curious to see what happens.
Lately I've been hearing a Wendy's ad on the radio that amuses me. The ad pokes fun at 'limited time' offers and heralds an unlimited time promotion. Great, you think, this money saving deal is ours forever! Ah, that's why you need to listen to the ad's disclaimer, "Unlimited time does not mean forever," says the disembodied voice.
I don't know about you, but if an unlimited offer isn't permanent, it's limited.
Friday afternoon I reviewed the printer's proof of the mid-year appeal. Unless there are more changes next week, it should be ready to go soon. There was time to finalize the program and to also plan for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday (more on that next week).
It was a good week. I'm ready for the weekend, it's time to recharge and relax. If the sun comes out I hope to ride.
