My Bracket, Part 2

What remains. 3/30/25 dwm
Coming into the second weekend of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, I had nine of the Sweet Sixteen teams.

When the eight games ended, I had six teams in my Elite Eight (Auburn, Michigan State, Florida, Houston, Tennessee, and Alabama).

Saturday Florida came from behind to beat Texas Tech in the last two minutes while Duke had their way with Alabama, the Tide was definitely not rolling in that game.

Sunday, I lost my other two Final Four schools. Tennessee got off to a slow start and despite a second half comeback, the University of Houston wasn't giving up the lead.

Michigan State didn't get far behind Auburn in their 1 verses 2 showdown, but anytime they got within eight, the Tigers got a stop and scored. The Spartans didn't have enough shooting to make up the difference.

I'll claim a small victory with my winning team alive going into the last three games of the year.

This is the first time since 2008 all number one seeds reached the Final Four. All four teams are excellent, it will likely come down to which team prevents baskets and is efficient when trying to score.

While Duke looks formidable, Houston will give them a game and based on what I saw last weekend, the Cougars have an edge over the Blue Devils.

I think the champion will be the winner of the Auburn Florida game. The Gators showed grit winning the regional semi-final over Texas Tech. The two Southeastern Conference schools already played once this season, when Florida beat the Tigers.

I expect Florida and Houston to play for the trophy Monday night, with the Gators cutting down the nets.
