Over the years, enough people have heard about our lighthouse trips that they ask when they can see the pictures and if I'll do a presentation about the trip. Those presentations started in 2018 after taking pictures of Bucky Badger statues around Madison (check the blog's main page and click the three vertical dots next to the line-up of pages and clicking "Biking to Bucky on Parade").
Last month I put together a new lighthouse presentation, focusing on Lake Superior's lighthouses along it's Shipwreck Coast.
I can't talk about all the lighthouses in a presentation so I share a video that has pictures of all the lights we've seen. There are two videos, a quick one with one photo of each light and a longer one with multiple shots of each light. I show them near the end of my presentation while answering questions.
At this point, I'm not sure when the next trip will happen, so it may be a while before there are new lighthouse posts, videos, and presentations.
Each video shows the lights, accompanied by music. The quick trip is 8 minutes. I like calling the other the album version. Both start with the light in Grand Marais, Minnesota, then east along the coast through Wisconsin and Michigan to Sault Ste. Marie, then down the St. Mary's river to Lake Huron. After that the slides travel around Lake Michigan starting in Menominee, Michigan going east along the north shore then south along Michigan's west coast, through Indiana and Illinois before ending in Green Bay.
I hope you enjoy your trips.
