Cream Puff

 It's out of season for me, but hearing that it is National Cream Puff day makes me think of an event seven months from now, State Fair.

 It's considered a French creation called a profiterole and choux a la creme. You can choose what to put inside the French pastry but you can't go wrong with whipped cream with a dusting of powdered sugar.

 I've seen cream puffs during other times of the year but the only one I'll eat is made at the Wisconsin Baker's Association bakery at State Fair Park.

The fair sells cream puffs other times of the year and started offering alternative flavors of cream as part of the treat's 100th anniversary at the Wisconsin State Fair..

You can have too much of a good thing. That's the reason I eat one at the fair each year. Otherwise, who knows how many I might eat!
