My task was to help move some of the books out of storage, then after the sale, re-pack the books that didn't sell and either put them on shelves or back in storage.
Other than the sale, I spent time over the weekend writing the rest of the lighthouse blogs. There are enough to run the series into January.
Tuesday was open enrollment at work, a time to adjust parts of the benefits package for the new year. I also updated the flex savings plan to take care of uncovered charges for various medical appointments or purchases.
I don't know if you watched The Golden Bachelorette or not. I'm not watching it, but my wife does. (I just happen to be in the room at the same time.) The one thing I'll say for it, is that it's nice seeing 'real people' on television. They've experienced life and don't take it seriously. The bachelors got along despite the fact all were competing for the same woman. It ends the way you expect, but if you've got it sitting in your DVR, I won't spoil it.
Half-way through the week I noticed I've acclimated to the time change. It happened two weeks ago, but it took a week before the sleep cycle was on schedule. That means I'm getting to the gym at the same time and doing the full workout.
Thursday the year-end letters were dropped off to be delivered to residents on Friday. From here to December 31 my focus is on visits and phone calls to reach as many donors as possible.
I was also able to knock off a few more continuing education videos early in the week, which left two 15-minute programs to watch on Friday to complete all 19 assignments. It always feels good to get those behind me.
The Wisconsin Badgers basketball team hosted the 9th ranked Arizona Wildcats Friday night. It was Wisconsin's fourth game and almost no one knew what to expect. It's safe to say very few expected the Badgers to build a big lead early. Then lose and re-build it in the second, leading by 12 with five minutes to play and made it a 15-point advantage with 4 minutes left. It's not fair to judge a team by one game, but if these are the Badgers we see all season, it will be fun to watch! Wisconsin beat Arizona, 103 - 88.
I hope you have your homework done... enjoy the next week!
