A Big Day

Flag flying above the Soo Locks, MI. 10/8/24 dwm

It's a big day as we decide who will be President and fill other elected positions from Washington down to our own community.

My hope is a lot of people join me at the polls. There are good reasons to be engaged as a citizen, whether you vote early or get to the polls on election day. We all have a stake in the outcome, one way or another, don't miss your opportunity.

If you volunteer to work at the polls, thank you! It was incredibly unfair for those who took time to serve their community and country to be wrongfully and incorrectly by a losing candidate 2020.

Many communities are having a tough time getting help as a result and that hurts all of us. Be sure to say thank your neighbors for working today,

Judging which candidate is best is up to each voter. I certainly hope the candidate I support gets the most electoral votes when all is said and done. My prayer is that all elected officials serve the people to the best of their ability and do what they believe is best while following the Constitution.

I believe the future of our country may hang in the balance depending on who becomes the 47th President, but I also believe that the balances of power created in our Constitution will prevail.

Let's pray that it doesn't come to that. Most of us are in the 'middle' of America, we see both sides, we care for our families, do the best we can for our children and grandchildren, and see our country as the leader in the free world.

You can join me now, and tonight, in a prayer for our nation. Thank you.
