| The Milwaukee River rushes over a dam. dwm |
When I put it away a week earlier, everything was fine. I don't know what happened while it was standing in the garage but the tire was flatter than a pancake. Thankfully, I had a spare and got it changed with a minimum of hassle.
We drove to Belgium, a small town in the north part of the county where I unloaded the bike, kissed my wife and pedaled off while she headed south to shop and sight-see.
The three-day mini-vacation didn't get washed out by the threat of rain and thunderstorms but it did influence how we chose to do things. We changed the trip from Friday - Sunday to Saturday - Monday. Rain chances were highest on Sunday but we got out in the morning before it came then watched the Indy 500 from our hotel.
After the ride Saturday, we grabbed lunch at Cousin's Sub before I washed up so we could drive to Port Washington to see the 1860 Light Station and pier head lights at the entry to the town's harbor. Sunday evening we ate at the Charcoal Grill, It was our first time eating there. We were impressed with the food and reasonable prices.
Monday morning, we drove home after breakfast at our hotel, getting home late morning.
Tuesday, this blog reached another milestone with its 3,200th blog. May 29, 2024 was the 4,330th day since They Used to Call Me Pointdexter debuted July 21, 2012. Thanks for reading all, most, or some of the posts over the years.

| Ben's Pretzel truck came to campus. 5/29/24 dwm |
A new tradition at Oakwood the last couple years are food truck visits. Tom's Coffee has stopped several times. Trucks selling ice cream have been welcomed and so are trucks serving fancy foods for lunch.
Wednesday, it was Ben's Pretzel truck over the noon hour with a variety of soft pretzels hot and ready to eat. An email sent around hours earlier was long forgotten when I walked past a window and saw the truck outside.
I probably should have shared the pretzel but the people I asked, already had theirs. I could have set it aside after eating half, but that would have left half of the warm, buttery, cinnamon and sugar delight uneaten. Mmmmm.
