Spring Ahead

Is the snow over? This photo was taken March 25, 2023! dwm
Saturday night, we spin the hour hand ahead from 2 to 3 am.

It's one big change as we temporarily lose daylight in the morning and tack it on the afternoon.

Spring is two weeks away but it starts feeling like summer.

Saturday morning the sun rises at 6:19 and sets at 5:57. One day later, the sun takes it easy, not rising until 7:17 and falling below the horizon at 6:58.

We get more time to work or play outside. In a couple months we'll have daylight from 5 in the morning until 9 at night.

If you have young kids, I strongly suggest pushing your clocks ahead before they get up, it will make their bedtime a lot easier.

Since late January we've experienced above normal temperatures but that's no guarantee. There's a chance we could repeat the big snow March 25 which dropped 8 inches of heavy, wet snow last year. Then again, we could hit 80 before the end of the month.

Spring may arrive, or not. The only thing we know for sure is we'll have more light to enjoy spring and summer days.
