One More Day

Scene just outside Madison. 10/21/23 dwm
Sunday, October 22 is 'one more day.'

It's one more day before I take a Covid-19 test to see if Wednesday's exposure resulted in me picking up the virus.

It's one more day to reach my mileage goal for this year.

If you're reading this, it also means you have another day to 'be upright and take nourishment' to use an old phrase.  That's a blessing we hardly acknowledgement until someone we love didn't get 'one more day.'

So far I've had no symptoms indicating I have Covid.  Tomorrow I need to take a test with a negative result to go into work, if I test positive, the best case scenario is I'm working from home for a week, the worst case would be getting the symptoms of Covid and suffering through it.

A few miles is all that separates me from reaching 1,000 miles on my cycling season.  I'll have more about the latest rides later this week.

It may not be the last nice day but the weather is quickly turning so it isn't likely we have many more days with temperatures in the 50s and possibly touching 60.

It matters not health or miles, if you are awake, give thanks for 'one more day.'
