My Week that Was - May 14

I was asked to call Bingo at Market Day. 5/7/22
The week began with an event known as "Market Day" sponsored by the Mad City Quilt Guild and organized by my wife.

It was a celebration coming out of pandemic restrictions with a large display of quilts, vendor exhibits, and places for guests to socialize.

My role was serving as a bingo caller during the second half of the show.  There were a dozen players, each with two cards, they marked their squares with buttons.

The last time I called bingo was when I sold insurance for Thrivent Financial.  It was fun for all ages.  The prize value didn't matter, it was just exciting to win.

Monday the thermometer reached new territory as the mercury shot past 80 for the warmest day yet.  Strong winds and rising humidity created conditions for our first thunderstorm of the season, most of them went around us to the north.

Wednesday was time to take Sunny to the local Toyota shop for her regular oil change and check-up.  I was pleasantly surprised that all she needed was front brakes as a side dish to the regular oil change and tire rotation.  I should be good for thousands of miles.

This week someone turned up the thermostat.  A week ago overnight lows were in the 30s, Wednesday and Thursday the high reached 90!  Closer to 'normal' temperatures are coming with the new week but it was way too early for August-like weather.

Stay cool and have a great week!
