My Week that Was - April 23

The week started with Easter.  It was the first Easter Sunday in the church where we're members and it was full. While our congregation doesn't have an Easter breakfast tradition, there were plenty of pastries available after worship which was fun.

At work the plan had been to offer the first rickshaw rides the day after Easter, but it was below 50, cloudy, and breezy which cancelled the rides until nicer days can be expected.

My trusty Schwinn Traveler (circa 1980) is ready to come home from Atkins Bicycle Shop.  It needed more than a basic tune-up as the original chain and cassette are kaput.  They even tightened down the bike seat.  It may be good for another 40 years!

Wednesday after work got together with three colleagues with a beverage and conversation.  It's not something I've done often but it is nice getting to know colleagues, especially the out-of-work side, better.

Last evening we went to the University of Wisconsin Varsity Band Spring Concert.  The last show we saw was in 2019.  This is the first one since due to Covid-19.  It's another 'normal' thing we're doing for the first time and should be a celebration.  You can read more about it in tomorrow's blog.

Have a great week!
