Today is Milwaukee's third game this season.  I hope to see them beat the Cubs to break into the win column after two losses.

The Brewers are the pick by many to win the National League Central.  Our pitching staff has three All-Stars and three solid players at the end of the rotation along with a strong bullpen.

Milwaukee has been in the playoff four seasons in a row.  I expect them to extend that to five.  That assuming bats warm up.  Last season they were knocked out of the post-season by the eventual World Series Champions, which isn't worth much. But if you lose, losing to the team that wins at all makes you think it could have been you.

Just two games out of 162 is blip on the radar.  Over the course of a season, every team wins and loses 60 games, it's what they do with the other 42 that makes a difference.

It will help the season if Christian Yelich's statistics are close to what he put up in 2018 and 19.  If Keston Hiura can recapture his promise of 2019, then Brewer pitchers won't need to win every game 1 - 0.

Laudatory press clippings aren't important.  Big predictions don't matter.

You can't win or lose the World Series in April.  It is a good idea to win as many as you lose while finding your feet.

As a life-long Brewer fan, it's exciting to cheer for a contending team after many years dreaming about reaching mediocrity.  We didn't start the way I hoped, but there is time to right the ship, starting today.  Go Brewers!
