Bracket Time!

How are you feeling about your bracket?

How do you decide which team advances... and when does that upset special flame out?

These are the questions and ponderings for the millions of people who take the time to fill out a bracket.  Experts, the people who devote their life to college basketball, are likely to finish behind the non-fan in accounting who won't watch five minutes of the madness.

This season there are probably a dozen teams with enough talent to win six games and take home the trophy and bragging rights.  Most years there are two or three teams head-and-shoulders above the competition; this year we might see underdogs walking tall and talking smack.

I went through this bracket without a lot of analysis - each match was given a few seconds of consideration before picking the winning mascot then move to the next pick.  The First Four was where I started before working down the left side of the bracket's first-round games before doing the same on the right.

Looking over the first 32 games I picked seven upsets, which is probably too many, but who wants to go chalk?  There are five underdogs advancing into the Sweet Sixteen, but only two advance to the Elite Eight.  The last quartet has two top-seeds, a three and a four with the Tennessee Volunteers out of the SEC cutting down the nets.

I hope I'm wrong and Wisconsin is the last team standing.  Home-court advantage in rounds 1 and 2 propels them to the second weekend where they upset the 2nd seed Auburn Tigers before 1-seed Kansas hold off the pesky Badgers to reach the last weekend.

It all starts tonight.  Good luck with your bracket and On Wisconsin!
