The Packers didn't roll into the post-season on a roll after losing the season finale in Detroit, 30 - 37.

Green Bay earned a first-round bye the week prior so they didn't have to win the final game and instead rested some of their starters in the second half.

By definition, the team with the best record is a favorite to reach the Super Bowl.  The Packers will host a game in the Divisional Round January 22 or 23rd.  Winning that weekend means they stay home for the NFC title game a week later.

Good news for the Packers is that several injured players are feeling better and may return to the line-up.

All-Pro offensive lineman David Bakhtiari was on the field for the final regular season game. Center Josh Myers joined Bakhtiari on the field against Detroit.  Myers suffered an injury early in the season, Bakhtiari suffered a serious knee injury during practice December 31, 2020.

Top-notch defensive back Jaire Alexander and all-star linebacker Zaire Smith are back at practice for the first time in months.  Alexander is a rising star, if he can play that will make it tough for opposing receivers to make many plays..  It's too soon to tell if Smith will be a difference maker.  If he is able to play close to the way he performed in the 2020 season, he will improve the Packer defense.

Green Bay watches while #2 seed Tampa plays #7 Philadelphia; #3 Dallas hosts #6 San Francisco; and #5 Arizona visits the #4 Los Angeles Rams.

The lowest number to survive the weekend plays the Pack the following week.  If seeding holds, that means the Rams return to Green Bay while Tampa hosts Dallas.

Whatever team emerges from the weekend will find the Packers and 80,000 fans waiting to welcome them to Lambeau Field; Go Pack, Go!
