Vintage Video - School Days

When it comes to shared experiences, school is close to universal for multiple generations in the United States.

(Hopefully it quickly becomes a valued tradition in every country to educate boys and girls so they can succeed and be the leaders we need.)

This week's episode explores a variety of situations which might remind you of your days in school.

There's the joy of finishing your first "big girl/boy" project like the first graders who see their first book come off the press.

The memory of a keynote speaker who inspired or a change in behavior.

There are bouts of frustration with those in charge and getting excited about a subject you didn't expect.

Were you ever the reporter for your family or neighborhood and tried to find a way to get your news out?  Did a teacher inspire you?

This video is the first of two school-themed videos.  I broke them into two episodes.  This one is focused on academics.  Next week's video will look at the extra-curriculars, from field trips to jobs that add to our school experience and enrich our lives.

If you've missed any videos, search the blog's homepage or follow the link to all the Vintage Videos.  Thanks for watching!
