Vintage Video - Fascinating People

This week I'm sharing stories of people it was an honor to meet and whom I found fascinating.

Deborah Wall has been in this series before as I showed her release of a Trumpeter Swan.  Her tireless dedication and devotion to all animals (she took care of injured "common" animals, not just the larger or cuter critters) was impressive.

Bill and Jim Scherr from Mobridge were successful high school and college wrestlers who took it to another level when they qualified for the 1988 Olympic games.  It was fun to meet such accomplished athletes when they were honored by their hometown.

Felix Fermin works with leather.  He had a business so successful he couldn't keep up with the orders.  He crossed my path when his store was robbed and he set about recovering from the loss.

Jim Martin is a long-time police officer who worked in Janesville when I told about his reading to children in a public elementary school.

Finally there's Matt Glowacki.  He was a high school student when I did stories about his singing, dancing, and skiing.  If you don't know why that's a big deal, you need to watch to the end of the video.  He continues to encourage others in one of his role as a public speaker.
