Ten games in the books.  152 to play for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Milwaukee's starting pitchers are the team's strongest group at the moment as they do a nice limiting runs scored by the opposition.  The bats started coming to life Saturday as the team finally put more than four runs on the scoreboard twice in a row.

Judging a team less than two weeks into the season is a fools' errand, but that won't stop me.  There are pundits who predict the following season's record before spring training too, which never made sense to me.

It starts at the top for me with the Brew Crew.  David Stearns, President of Baseball Operations, has made a lot of good decisions since he joined the club in the fall of 2015.  He uses a nice mix of analyzing statistics and player evaluation.  In terms of personnel decisions, he's batting over .500 in my book.

Likewise, manager Craig Counsell has the right temperament to lead a team and like his boss pays attention to statistics and his gut when it comes to making decisions.   He played on two World Series teams.  He grew up in Whitefish Bay when his Dad worked for the Brewers and gets Wisconsin and the Brewer fan base.  Counsell is third in wins among team managers and is the longest tenured manager in the National League.  Like Stearns, he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

You start with the pitching - it is among the best in the NL Central.  The line-up is solid with a good mix of youth and veteran players.  If the team stays healthy, it should return to the playoffs.

Ten games in, the Brewers are 6 - 4 after starting with just 1 win in their first three games.  If they can win 6 out of every 10 games on their schedule, this will be a very good year

We don't know yet when we'll see get to American Family Field.  Once our home is fully vaccinated, we'll make plans to root, root, root for the Brewers!  Go Crew!
