Same Ol' - Same Ol'

Just after sunrise. 2/26/2021 (dwm)
It's been a long time since I paid attention to the various "days" throughout the year - but it's "Old Stuff Day" today (March 2).

It's not about recognizing our favorite old stuff we can't bear to donate or dispose.  No, it's about the all too familiar reply to the question, "What's new?"  "Not much, same old stuff."

Today is about changing the routine or doing something different.  Covid-19 hasn't helped.  Really, how much new stuff can you do when you aren't eating out, taking trips, or seeing the lower half of stranger's faces?

If you're over 30 and you still have access to snow... go sledding.

If you don't want to break something, pay for the order behind you in line at the restaurant where you do carry-out.

The next time you get a strange number on your phone start a conversation.

If that's too much, take a different route to or from work or change-up what you get at your morning stop.

Try something unusual today, tomorrow, or some time this week.  Here's an idea, change your answer to that tired question.

"What's new?"

"Everything, it's an amazing day!"
