Packer Season Wrap

The Green Bay Packers finished the regular season with 13 wins and 3 losses.

It's the same record as last year, but in 2020 13 - 3 is better than any other NFC team which means the Packers don't play during Wildcard weekend and will host a Divisional round and the Championship game (as long as they win the Divisional round).

35 - 16 was the final in their second game with the Chicago Bears.  The Bears made the playoffs because Arizona lost its last game - if they manage to win their Wildcard game they would play in Green Bay the week after.

Other than an impressive third quarter by Chicago's offense, Green Bay played well on offense scoring 3 touchdowns in the first half and put two more on the board after the Bears narrowed the score to 21 - 16 at the end of third quarter.

Aaron Rodgers threw a franchise record 48th touchdown pass in the game while Pro Bowl receiver Davante Adams broke the franchise record for catches in a season with 115 and tied the record for touchdown catches with 18.

In the NFC play-offs New Orleans, Seattle, and Tampa are considered with Green Bay as having the best chance to advance to the Super Bowl.  Even though few fans will be allowed in Lambeau Field during the post-season, the weather should still give the Packers a nice home-field advantage.

Before the season, my "Wild Guess on the Packers Pandemic Season" predicted Green Bay finishing 11 - 5 on the year.  I was wrong five times - they beat New Orleans, San Francisco, and Tennessee while losing their second game against Minnesota - but wrong in the best way possible as a fan.

Before the season, I thought 11 was optimistic.  This team is much better than last year's team.  The running game is better, the offense has played at a high level and the defense is able to make enough plays for the team to win.  It's too bad we lost David Bakhtiari our star Left Tackle, but the depth developed on the offensive line has done the job.

For the post-season I'm pulling for my team to win 3 more games and add their fifth Super Bowl and 14th NFL title.  Go Pack, Go!
