| A sharp downhill on a pretty stretch of the Cap City Trail. 6/12/20 (dwm) |
Next on that side of things is getting a website and finding help to develop my home page. If all goes well on that, I hope to be able to go "live" by the end of July.
The Marketing sessions meet every other week and have been helpful with basic advice and tips from a pro who has covered the ground previously and shares her experience. In addition, our group of 10 taking the course divided up with an accountability partner.
My partner worked in radio during high school years before moving into a different career. We're a similar age, both from the Midwest, and working at voice acting as a side gig. Partners weren't the kind of thing I generally liked back in school, but this has been helpful.
July continues to be warmer than normal, turning up the heat after a perfect weekend. This weekend promises to be more of the same, so other than going out early in the day we'll spend most of our time indoors.
It's been a few weeks since I last shared the progress of watching every episode one of Cheers' 273 episodes; we finished with season 10; one to go.
Looks like week 17 of home-working won't be the last; while I'm spending a few more hours in the office than before, most of my work is from home. It's been nice giving rickshaw rides to residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care households. They enjoy getting out to explore different areas of campus - on Wednesday we saw a small flock of turkeys who walked in front of our bike. There were two adult turkeys and six young but of different size, so perhaps it was a turkey play-date!
Yay! We are one step from finishing the refresh of our home. When I say we, I mean the contractors are nearly done. Doug the handyman and his son worked Wednesday, taking care of several jobs that would have taken me multiple days and not come out as nice. When the project is done, you'll see a blog about it.

| Heat and humidity makes corn grow fast. 7/16/20 (dwm) |
There were just a couple rides this week, I wrote about the first on Thursday, which was the same day as my second ride.
I was struck by the height of the corn, but it is corn growing weather with lots of heat and humidity. When we lived in Iowa we heard it said in weather like this you can hear it grow!
Here's hoping for slightly cooler weather in the week ahead - stay cool!
