My Week That Was - June 27

Morning along Pleasant View Rd. 6/24/20 (dwm)
It was a busy week, one that started quietly.

Father's Day was peaceful and perfect for an extended bike ride and time to recover on the couch.

The weather was excellent most of the week, with a slight chill early in the day, which makes for a great morning run.

The work schedule was packed with multiple projects in addition to the regular phone calls.

Monday I finished the latest video produced for residents at Oakwood Village to see over the coming weeks.

It's a five-minute wrap up of our week last September serving as volunteer light keepers.  Next on the list is creating a video visit to the lights we've seen in Michigan.

Just in case you missed it, the coronavirus is not fading away.  Cases are increasing again - significantly in places that thought life had returned to normal.

In conversation with older adults on our campus, I'm struck by the wise approach most are taking to life under a viral cloud.

Many are bored or stir-crazy, but understand the need to take precautions that mean they can't visit with their friends in person or share a meal.  The bottom-line for most is that while they want to get back to "normal," they want to do it safely.

Be safe, my friends, be careful, and have a good week.
