We have more snow on the ground than we have all winter.

The previous snows melted away before additional flakes arrived.  The recent storm added six inches to the same amount already on the ground.

It feels like winter!

Since there are only 9 days left in February, spring is near.  Perhaps we'll get an old-school dose of winter with snow on a regular basis through the middle of March.

There are legendary stories about snow storms during the girls and boys State Basketball Tournaments throughout the midwest.

I think December 2012 is the last time we saw piles of snow like we had Tuesday.  That storm dropped 20 inches in a day, forcing me and many other folks to stay home and watch the world slow down.

By the next day I navigated the roads back to work, but it took another 24 hours before the city returned to normal.

It's highly unlikely we'll get anywhere near that much snow.

Every day it doesn't snow and the clouds clear - snow will melt under the strengthening rays of the sun.

The safe forecast calls for sloppy days.

Warm days - rain - snow storms and cold will make the next month very interesting.
