January 26, 1985  C Scholl photo
Sunday was our 35th anniversary; that's 420 months; 12,775 days; or 18,396,000 minutes.

I recall thinking on January 26, 1985 that 2000 was a long way in the future.  It was just 15 years off.

Breaking the total into 7 packages of 5 years each makes it a little easier to comprehend.

During the first 5 years, we lived in Osceola, Iowa (2 homes); Pierre, South Dakota (3 homes); and Janesville, Wisconsin (2).

During the next 15 years, we were a family of four.  We lived in Janesville and Augusta, Wisconsin (1 home).  At the start of 2006, we moved to Indianapolis, Indiana (3 homes).  Our oldest finished his last year of high school in Augusta that year, while the youngest settled into Lutheran High School of Indianapolis.

He graduated high school in 2013, a year after we returned to Wisconsin (3 homes).  That's a lot of geography and a lot of living.

There have been ups and downs, of course; more blessings than we can count; and a lifetime (so far) of memories.

I don't think either of those kids in the photo had any idea what was ahead of them.
