We got an early start with an 8:50 am showing of Toy Story 4.
I love going to early movies - but they need to be light or comedic - dark and depressing movies just aren't a good way to start my day.
The first Toy Story movie came out at Thanksgiving in 1995. We saw it with my parents when our family drove to Ridgeway, Pennsylvania for the holiday (I guess that makes another holiday for movie watching).
Our boys were 5 and 8 for the first film; now they are old enough to take their own kids to share the story. (If they had kids.)
This is a FANTASTIC movie. It's funny with a great story starting in Bonnie's bedroom. She is the second child for whom Woody and gang are toys.
Woody isn't Bonnie's favorite toy anymore and is trying to figure out what's next. His job, he explains, is every toy's primary mission, belonging to a kid.
Along the way, he reunites with his crush, Bo Peep, who is on her own and doing fine.
There are twists and turns and surprises as the toys rise to the rescue for each other and their kid.
I'm sure you will love it, but take some tissues - they will come in handy.
