My Week That Was - May 25

It seems like the flowering trees are a week behind schedule.

The Lilacs didn't appear in time for Mother's Day (May 12) as they generally do in south Wisconsin.   I blame that on too many days with below normal temperatures.

Monday was busy.  There was an article to write; donors to see and a dinner to attend.  It all went well and the donor who spoke at our dinner shared a poignant and inspiring message.  That's a nice way to start a week.

Joining the activity Monday was getting the May mailing out to the community and across both campuses in Madison.

It speaks to several projects that will benefit residents; enhancing lives in a variety of ways.  The first responses arrived in our office Tuesday.  Wednesday was busy - my seventh pizza party and then sharing "Travel in Time" a presentation on covered bridges in the upper Midwest. There was a nice turn-out, between 30 and 40 people.

Looking at those bridges was fun and a challenge to boil down to 30 minutes; it was OK, but there are things I can tweak.

Yesterday I took my car in for its regular service.  The Prius C is reliable, the only concern this time was a slow tire leak.  It turned out there was a small nail in the tire, but it was removed and the tire patched, so I should be good for a bunch more miles.

The Memorial Day holiday weekend is the start of summer - it feels like a long time in coming.

Enjoy your week!
