Happy Easter

Today gives meaning to the faith of a Christian.

As the Apostle Paul wrote, And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.  

It can be difficult to get our head around, that's true.  That's why we rejoice about the gift of faith.

Christ came to earth to live the perfect life I can't; then pay for my sins (and those of all sinners) on the cross.

Recently a principal died from complications after giving bone marrow to help someone in need.  It was a sad and heroic story that received a lot of attention.

Multiply by whatever large number you want - and that is the story of Easter.

If Jesus's story stopped on the cross, there was no victory.  It was beating death that clinched the deal.

When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. 2 Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb 3 and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”

4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. 5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene,who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here."   Mark 16: 1 - 6
