The Brewers Post-season

The National League Central Division Champion Milwaukee Brewers host the Colorado Rockies tomorrow in the first game of a best of five series.

While it took an extra regular season game to figure it out, that additional win gives the Brewers the most potential home games in each series.

Two games in Milwaukee.  Two games, if necessary, in Denver.  A fifth game, if needed, will be in Miller Park.  The first team to win three advances to the National League Championship Series.

The Rockies are a very good team.  They won Sunday in Denver.  They beat the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Monday.  Then they beat the Cubs in extra innings last night to advance.

Both teams are hot.  The Brewers have won eight straight and were 19 - 6 in September.  None of that matters now, all that matters now is getting three wins.

I expect this to be a tight series and I'm glad Milwaukee is at home.  I look for Brewer Nation to roll out the barrel lead by Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, and Jesus' Aguilar.  There will be contributions from players up and down the line-up.

This is the best opportunity the Brewers have had since 1982 to claim baseball's ultimate prize.  We can't win it in this series, but it is a start.

Go Brewers!
