Game 8 - Indianapolis

The Colts galloped to a 31 - 26 win over the Packers, and it wasn't that close.

The Colt's kick return for a touchdown to open the game gave Indianapolis a jump-start and took the wind out of Green Bay's sails.

Give Indy the credit, their business trip was most successful.

Green Bay is four wins and four losses half-way into the season.

My fearless forecast predicted 7 - 1 after eight games.

Just a half-game behind Detroit in second with 5 wins, 4 losses after 9 games and a full game behind Minnesota in first at 5 - 3 - it's a bit of surprise to be in contention right now with only four wins.

The offense, which looked to be on the right path coming out of the last couple games, seemed to lose its way.  A few more pass completions and 2 touchdowns instead of field goals - and I'd be writing something else in this space.

There's hope a couple of players who've missed games due to injury will return to the field soon, and it will help.

However, with a three game road trip through Tennessee, Washington, and Philadelphia coming up the urgency which they are feeling in the team meetings today will either manifest itself into momentum for the playoffs, or... not.

I still think there is promise for this team and we've not yet seen it's full potential.  But like the coaches say, you are the team your record says you are and right now the record says this .500 team is just mediocre.

Come On, Pack - let's go!
