Game 10 - Washington

If the glass is half - full; it's only because the leak at the bottom of the glass is a very slow drip.

Now 4 - 6 on the season with 6 to play; it's very hard to see a path to the play - offs for the Green Bay Packers.

The offense played better last night than the last few weeks.

However, a defensive backfield forced to start the third and fourth best available corner-backs couldn't get a stop when the team needed one and Washington receivers ran downfield with precious few obstacles in their path.

Green Bay didn't start as slowly.  Washington took a 7 - 0 lead and the Pack came back to tie the score.  Green Bay took a three point lead and was threatening for more when  missed field goal opened the door for D.C.'s bunch to take a 13 - 10 halftime lead.

They extended it to 22 - 10 at the end of three.  Aaron Rodgers threw the Packers downfield thanks to the return of tight end Jared Cook with 14 points in the final quarter and pulled within five points twice.

Washington scored 20, including the final 14 to put the Packers on ice.

It was a better more competitive game than the ugly performances in losses to Indianapolis and Tennessee, but a loss is a loss.

In the fog after a horrible loss, it's difficult to see how Green Bay wins 6 straight to end the year and revive postseason hopes.  That's why they play the game.

There's a lot to repair.  Green Bay needs healthy talent at inside linebacker and corner-back right now.

The most optimistic Packer Backer can't see it right now.  We haven't won in a month.  There were higher hopes for the team and this season in the locker room and in every fan's heart.

Hopes are fading, but team loyalty will never fade... Let's Go Pack!
