Where's the Punctuation?!

Walking out of Denny's the other day, just before I got in the car this sign caught my eye.

Read it with me, won't you?

No trespassing violators will be prosecuted.

Hmm.

Perhaps they mean...

No Trespassing!  Violators will be prosecuted.

Once you get past the idea that a restaurant usually open 24 hours a day may not be able to have "trespassers;" I'd like to think most judges would agree with me and this is essentially a get out of jail free sign.

And I appreciate it when blog ideas appear without warning, thanks Denny's!  (My breakfast was also quite good.)
