A Moving Day

Another milestone along the winding road that is settling an estate.

The folks from Beloit Action & Realty came last week to take a lifetime of memories and treasures.  They'll be sold soon.

The three guys who loaded the truck worked efficiently and took good care of the many items now under their stewardship.

Mom's home became empty in a hurry as the boxes and boxes were placed in the truck.  Large and small items of various value will be up for bid.  When I learn the when and where, I'll let you know.

Just moments before the sales truck backed into the driveway, mom's cleaning ladies, known as Happy Homes, arrived.  These wonderful women took care of mom's home for her like it was their own.  After all the moves and the last couple of months, the condo needed a good cleaning.  They gave it one.  They also shared stories from working with mom.  Thank you, ladies, for being such an important part of mom's life.

I was busy throughout, although there wasn't much to do.  My sister took care of the majority of packing and sorting.  So, it's down to just a couple of items left to handle.

Last on the list, but not least, is listing the property.  It's for sale.  Located right on the Greenbelt/Ice Age Trail, it's a quiet area with plenty of nature right outside.

Yes, we're getting closer to the end of the process, but plenty of road to travel.  The process is a part of the grieving.

Of course, this is just stuff - the memories and love we have for mom lasts forever.
