Spring Tease

It happens every spring.

We enjoy the warming temperatures and everything taking on an early shade of green.

Menards, Lowes, and Home Depot lure us in with abundant Garden Centers and all kinds of flowers, vegetables, and trees ready to plant.

Just a minute.

It's not time to plant yet.  The spring tease of sunshine and 70 degree temps convinces us to throw the winter gear in the back of the closet.  It gets us excited to see the Daffodils and Crocus plants blooming in our flower beds.

Less attention is paid to the thermometer because it just "feels" like spring.  Until days like we've had since Monday.

Yikes!  Highs barely reach 50.  Lows in the 30s.  And the term "Windchill" doesn't even smell like mothballs because it wasn't in the winter closet that long.

This too will pass.  We just need a little more patience for the rest of spring to show up.
