Badgers for the Bg iWin

It comes down to one game tonight for the NCAA Division 1 Basketball Tournament.

And for the first time since 1941, Wisconsin will be on the court.  Those Badgers won in 1941 - it was only the third NCAA title game.  Ever.

Maybe Badger and Kentucky fans got a partial refund after Saturday's game, since they were on the edge of their seats all nice - they didn't need the whole thing.

Just when Kentucky went up by four and seemed to have momentum on their side, the resilient and unflappable Badgers tied the game at 60.

It was the ultimate turning point as Wisconsin outscored the Wildcats 11 - 4 to the finish.  The performance exemplified the qualities I've seen about this team all season - calm and determined, serious but taking themselves seriously - put Kentucky behind them and another 40 minutes.

Last December, Duke (the other team in tonight's final) came into Kohl Center and beat Bucky by 10.  Both teams have grown since then, and the Badger's Sam Dekker, #15, is fully recovered from a sprained ankle.

You can expect a good representation in the Lucas Oil Stadium from the Badger faithful tonight.  More moral and cheering support beamed to Indy from Wisconsin and around the world.

At the start of the season, the players on the team made three goal:  B1G regular season crown, B1G tournament title, and earning the NCAA championship.

The series of two game tournaments leaves Duke and Wisconsin as the last teams standing.  68 teams, 66 games are in the books - tonight is game 67.

I picked the Badgers against Michigan State for tonight's game.  Duke ran the Spartans out of the gym.  Duke is a great team with very talented and NBA ready players.  I expect a close game.

When 0:00 shows up on the scoreboard tonight Frank Kaminsky, Sam Dekker, Josh Gasser, Trae Jackson, Bronson Koenig, Nigel Hayes, and Duje Dukin and the rest of the team will cut down the nets with Coach Ryan.

I can't wait.
