Under Further Review

We expect controversial calls on the courts and playing fields to be reviewed and with the help of technology be correctly adjudicated.

Most organizations each year craft a strategic plan for the coming year, making plans based on the information they have at the time.

Just as they get into their plan, it's subject to review and adjustments to reflect new data and goals.

Its the same for most of us, too.  We meet with our supervisor to go over the past year; good work is praised and areas for growth are identified.  We may even do the same in our homes in conjunction with tax time as we evaluate income and expenses.

Looking back on the year past can be a horrible waste of time and distraction (see:  Lot's wife) or serve as an ax sharpening event to prepare us for trees on the horizon.

Yardsticks measure growth of each little Marta or Mark and professional maturity in the course of our careers.

My annual review came and went this past week.  All is good and a few things went exceptionally well.  There are several things on the radar to work on and improve in the year ahead.

Those goals will be measured next year.
