Why not subscribe?

Many of you faithfully show up and read these blogs on a regular basis, while others 'binge-blog' and read a number at one sitting.  You may search through the topics for items of interest while others scan through the archive to different dates over the last couple of years.

Just as there are summer doldrums, the doldrums of winter are upon us and so it is with the blog.

It occurred to me after one of the blogs I enjoy following by Gretchen Lord Anderson, had a post reminding subscribers to email so they would get an alert when a new blog was posted, that I should make sure that you know about this option.

Lately, I've been trying to put a blog headline on Twitter and Google+ to advise you a new post is up for your reading pleasure (well, at least that is what I'm going for whether successful or not).

You may get the reminders or alerts on your own, if you wish.  On the "They used to call me Pointdexter" home page if you look on the right side of the screen you will see a tab with a number of options including blog topic categories and archive.

Near the bottom is a small square with an RSS icon (right), where you can register to get an alert via email or the r-s-s feed when a new blog goes live.

By the way, there's no charge.

Generally, a new blog posts every morning at 7:30 Central Time in the United States, but every once in a while I'll post an additional blog or two.  Subscribing will keep you current - who knows, maybe someday you will want to be counted as one of the original "They used to call me..." readers.

Stranger things have happened, haven't they?

OK, maybe not.  Whichever way you make your way to this space - thank you for reading!
