Packers Postscript

Well, the season's over.

It's sudden - like a car crash.

One minute you are heading to the beach for fun in the sun and a moment later you are standing at the side of the road wondering what happened.

Ouch.

A great start - even though there were three field goals where they might have been touchdowns - and a 16 - 0 lead at halftime.

An interception near the end of the game when Safety Morgan Burnett wisely went to the ground so the ball wouldn't come loose as he went up field.

A misplayed onside kick bounces off Packer Tight End Brandon Bostick and into the arms of the opposition.

And after the ensuing Seattle score, Ha-Ha Clinton Dix, who had been terrific all day with two interceptions... somehow couldn't make a play on a fluttering 2 point conversion attempt that put the Seahawks up three with a minute and a half to go.

The overtime defense couldn't find its footing, and that meant a long march to the locker room and even longer flight home.

Good game, Seattle.  Tough break for the Packers and all of us who figuratively live and die with the Green and Gold.  This is a tough one to recover from...

A good run, over too soon.

Go Pack, go.
