What's left in 2014?

There is about as much year left as snow that fell in November around here.... time to replenish the supply of days in the inventory.

Do you have anything left to do this year?

My recollection of things from the start of the year are a little dim, so it's nice to to check what I wrote about plans and resolutions.

Just doing a quick review of what I wrote then indicates I was able to do some of what I hoped to do, falling short in other areas.  I suspect you could say the same about your list.

It still shows that we have some time, a little less than 48 hours at this point, but time to do something, effect a change, and make a difference.

Loiter among the days of our lives so they don't blur past us is a good goal.  I think that means noticing what is happening now, so the ache for the future doesn't turn our current minutes and hours into fence posts we pass at 65 miles an hour.

Years can seem a bit arbitrary, and perhaps the wall calendar (remember those?) isn't how you track the mileposts in your life.  It might be time on the job or a new number of grandchildren.

A wise saying reminds us that it is never too late to start or to do things right - this can be that day.  Then do it again tomorrow and the day after that.  Do it for 21 days and you've changed your life forever.

If the sum of ups and downs accumulated during 2014 seems to weigh heavy on the depressing side - look to move ahead in the new year and do something for someone today - it will make you feel better.

There is only blog left this year - I hope to see you here tomorrow!
