5 Days

It's the end of the week.  That sure went fast.

Five days of work; after just two days last week.

Five morning work-outs, hurried showers, quick breakfasts, stops for soda, and early arrivals at work.

Five workday mornings, lunches with colleagues,  afternoon energy swoons, and five trips back home.

Did you ever feel like Fred Flintstone at the end of the day?  You know, "Yabba Dabba Doo-ing," sliding out of the desk chair through the window into the waiting foot powered convertible?

So here it is.  The weekend bursting upon us.  A couple of days stretched out for fun or honey-do lists.  Maybe get the Christmas lights and decorations out of the garage or closet and putting up for the season.

How do you pack all the stuff you want to do, and more importantly - the things you don't want to do - into a weekend?

I think the older we get, the more precious the weekend.  Back in college, weekends seemed to "start" on Thursday afternoons and stretch into Sunday night.

The weekend goes quicker than the work week and most Americans leave vacation time unused at the end of the year - convinced (somehow) the office won't make it without us.

Plan to use your time off - plan your weekend - and take some moments for yourself to r-e-l-a-x.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Repeat.

Monday will be here before you know it.
