Elite 8! Go Badgers

69 - 52 doesn't really begin to describe the way the Wisconsin Badgers beat the Baylor Bears last night.

It was a confident bunch on the floor for Coach Bo Ryan... the ball was going in the hoop and Baylor wasn't finding the bottom of the basket with their shots.

Looking ahead to the Sweet Sixteen match up - I thought Wisconsin had a good opportunity to win if they played well.

And I didn't think Baylor was likely to make 66% of their shots like they did when they took down Creighton last Sunday.

Frankly, I don't think any Badger fan who is honest would admit they didn't see this game coming.

Nice job, guys!

It's been a pretty nice run by team Bucky since the rebound started modestly under Stu Jackson and Stan Van Gundy... then gained momentum under Dick Bennett and his 2000 team making a run to the Final Four.  Bo Ryan picked up after Brad Soderberg's interim leadership after Bennett's abrupt retirement and it's been amazing consistency for the Bo's Bunch ever since.

This team is different.  Whether or not they win it all - this team is the best one around these parts since the 1941 Championship team.  It's a great combination of team chemistry and 8 players who can be the team's leading scorer on a given night.

Here's to Josh, Ben, Traevon, Sam, Frank, Nigel, Bronson, and Duje.  A balanced and cohesive team that kept an even keel during a 16 - 0 start and then a stretch of 5 losses in 6 games.

All we Badger fans want now is three more wins!

Go, BADGERS!
