Best Day of the Week

I was glad when they said to me,
    “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”

Psalm 122: 1

It's Sunday - is heading to your local House of Worship part of your Sunday routine?

There are Saturday evening and weeknights also with weekly worship offerings that help those who have obligations worship - maybe that's your routine.

It's a blessed opportunity we have to be able to decide how to worship; where to worship; and even whom to worship in the United States of America.

A Church is where we go to hear the Word; to worship and praise our God; and receive renewal and strengthening of our faith.

It's been said that you can worship God anywhere - on a pretty lawn that happens to have 18 holes spaced out around the property or in a boat or on a trip.  True.

But, it seems to me that much like a ballplayer who fails to practice is unlikely to improve - so it is with those who don't practice their faith and receive the boost that comes from worshiping with a community of believers.

Sundays have changed in our society through the years.  At one time, I recall that many - if not most - businesses closed for the day.  It's a busier day for many these days.

All the more reason to stop for some time to reflect on our blessings; seek guidance; and worship.

Whether it's a mega Church or a small one in the country - it's a place to renew and refresh - and get back on track.

See you there!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
    all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
    for ever.

Psalm  23 : 6
