11.12.13

At 9:10 this morning we get to experience that just doesn't come along often.

In the afternoon, at 2:15:16 we can enjoy that singular feeling again from a different perspective.

9.10.11.12.13  and a little later on 11.12.13 it will be 14.15.16 (using seconds with military time).

Ten years ago in early January we experienced 1-2-3 and at 4:56 had a nice run of numbers.

And each year offered the opportunity until we get to 12-13-14.

There was 2:34 on 5-6-07; 3:45 on 6-7-08; 4:56 on 7-8-9.

In August 9, 2010 at 11:12:13 was a nice string of numbers.  Then 10-11-12 at 13:14:15 military time.

That brings us to today.

After that the calendar and clocks don't cooperate for the nice strings of digits.  There will be some opportunities if the double digit years are counted as individual numbers, 78 read as 7-8, for example.

Last year we enjoyed 12-12-12, but that won't happen again for a century.

Today, many couples are getting married because of the consecutive numbers in the date - there is only one more of those this century, next year on 12-13-14.

What does this all mean?  I sure don't know - probably more of a personality quirk in enjoying the little, mundane, and trivial things that seem unique and interesting.

Unfortunately, I am coming up with these little poker runs of numbers off the top of my head.  Maybe it is a lot more common... but unless we start turning those last two numbers in the year into their own numbers the strings I think this is it until we turn into the 22nd century.

When that happens, I might recycle this blog.
